L' Envoi is a wall art and design object composed of one of my photographs from which Gauthier Poulain was inspired to create an original mirror work. The movement of the lines of the abstract image echoes the circular mirror with the evanescent surface and sinuous curves of the floating steel structure. The reflection of the visitor appears at the very heart of the work before mysteriously melting into the image. The abstract image obtained at the lens then takes another dimension in space and is dynamized thanks to the volume.
Separating work Space / Eole
Created by Gauthier Poulain & Yves Ullens - Brussels ( Belgium ) 2019
Photography, painted steel - L116 x p25 x hi60 cm -1/5 (+2 A.P.)
Eole is an object of art and practical design, composed of two photographs by Yves Ullens from which Gauthier Poulain was inspired to create this original work. Halfway between the screen and the sculpture, the object is a modular triptych in space. Abstract images adorn each side of the metal structure allowing the visitor to discover a new point of view and to modulate the object as they wish.
Table / Corolle
Created by Gauthier Poulain & Yves Ullens - Brussels ( Belgium ) 2019
Photography, painted steel, glass - Diam130 x h43
The Corolle table, an object of art and functional design, is also composed of two photographs. The organic movement of the structure of the metal base delicately coats the images located in its center, inside and outside, as protected. The glass top allows you to discover the photographs and the arrangement of shapes that echo the plant world through transparency.
Table / Ellipse
Created by Gauthier Poulain & Yves Ullens - Brussels ( Belgium ) 2019
Photography, painted steel, stainless steel mirror, glass - LI40 x I 110 x h43 cm -1/10 (+2 A.P.)
The Ellipse table is a work of art and functional design, composed of two photographs which decorate the inside and the outside of the central core of the table. The hidden exterior image is then reflected in the mirror of the metal structure of the base. The whole is covered by a glass tray whose transparency makes visible the play of colors and reflections of the two images.
